I chose this image because I thought it would be pretty quick and simple – it’s black and white, there’s not much hair, and so on. But I ended up spending much more time on it than I expected, mostly because of what little hair there is. I got frustrated with it and stopped working for a few weeks, but eventually came back to it and finished it up.
Again I recorded my screen while working on this image. I uploaded the video to my YouTube channel:
Not all of this video is played at the same speed – the parts where I’m drawing hair were sped up the most because they are the least interesting parts (just fiddling around on small details).
I was going to add a background to this image but, like with most of my images, I got sick of working on it towards the end and didn't feel like adding one in. I kind of like how it looks on a white background though. I might come back to it at a later stage and add something nicer in.
As previously, I recorded my screen while working on this image. I've uploaded the video to my YouTube account:
The Inception soundtrack has some great songs, but I don't think any of them really suit this sort of video. Hopefully it doesn't detract from it too much! Also, I've added a little surprise at the end of the video. Enjoy. ;)
I recently finished a picture of the singer Ke$ha. I was only using a low resolution reference image, so it was just going to be for a bit of practise. But I liked how it was looking and decided to spend some more time on it.
I really hate drawing hair, and I'm not terribly happy with how it turned out. There are some other small details I could have added (freckles, etc), but I just got too annoyed with it after the hair.
I also recorded myself while working on this. I've uploaded the video to YouTube:
I added a Ke$ha song to the video, but I'm not sure how YouTube will deal with that. I might take the song off and upload it again, or let it sit for a few days. Either way, enjoy!
I had also attempted this image in greyscale a few months ago, but abandoned it. For the fun of it, here is the progress I had made on the earlier version.
